DESCRIPTION:\nThe ultimate team event. Get together with two of your friends, family or workmates for a bit of bonding.\n8:00 – Registration opens\n8:45 – Race briefing\n9:00 – Race Start\nThe race format is a swim of 200m, a road bike ride of 6km and a run of 1km, repeated three times continuously.\nOptions:\nTeam Tag Tri – where each person does a complete triathlon before tagging their next team member on the beach.\nTeam Tri – where a specialist swimmer, cyclist and runner alternate, completing each discipline three times in the race order.\nLoose cannons – you really want to do all nine stages alone, or get eight friends together to do a stage each (or some other combination)? Go for it.\nThis takes a bit of organisation, so start getting your team together now.\nStandard entry is $30 per registration. Team entry is also $30 – there will be no age groups for teams – just a team category.\nPayment Options\nSelect one:\nPay online Adult or Team ($30) -select this option to pay online either single adult entry or team entry.\nPay online 20% Club Discount ($24) -select this option to pay online and receive the club discount, must be a Nelson Tri Club member.\nPay online 50% School Student Discount ($15) -select this option to pay online and receive School Student (U18) discount.\nPay at event (bring cash on day of race) -select this option to pay cash on the day of the race. No discounts for this option.\nNote to encourage pre-race entries, race day entries will attract a 50% extra penalty and no club discounts apply. If you’re uncertain about whether to compete and wish to avoid the late entry penalty, please enter online, selecting ‘Pay at Event’ under the Payment option. Participants are asked not to use aero bars if they find themselves in a drafting situation and should not attempt to draft if they are unfamiliar with the skills required.\nThe course is not closed to traffic. It is the participant’s responsibility to keep left and ride single file unless passing.\nEntrants under 18 take part at their parent’s/guardian’s discretion.\nIt is the participant’s responsibility to make themselves aware of the race rules; the racecourses; to attend the compulsory race briefing and to participate in a safe and responsible manner.\n\n\n
