DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCelebrating the 40th Swim Anniversary\nJoin us for the traditional race from the Nelson Yacht Club ramp to Tahunanui Beach. There’s also a short option (1300m) starting from the Richardson St steps.\nTo mark the 40th Anniversary, we’re offering a limited edition towel and swim cap to the first online paid entries—but be quick, supplies are limited!\nNote: Towels will only be distributed at the event to participants who have registered, paid online, and are present at the swim. Unfortunately, towels cannot be collected after the event or sent to those unable to attend.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRace Day Schedule\n\n8:45 am Check-in opens\n9:30 am Check-in closes (no late entries or check-ins)\n9:35 am Race briefing ALL swimmers must be out of the water, on the ramp, ready for the swim and listen carefully to the race briefing.\n9:45 am Race start (Long course)\n*10:15 am *(approx. start time may vary) (Short course, start Richardson St steps. Short course swimmers must attend the race briefing at the Yacht Club at 9:35 am)\n\nRace Options:\n\nLong Course 2km\nShort Course 1300m\n\nDon’t miss out on this special event—celebrate with us and be in to receive a limited edition anniversary towel and swim cap. These are available only to the first online paid entries, and stock is limited!\nPayment Options (Select one):\n\nPay online non-member ($30) -select this option to pay online (non-member).\nPay online *Club member ($20) – must be Nelson Tri Member for race season 2024-2025.  -select this option to pay online as a club member. Note you must be a registered member to receive the discount. To become a member go to: Nelson Tri Club Membership. You’ll need your membership confirmation email for proof. Club members receive *one free series swim cap.\nPay at event (bring cash on day of swim) -select this option to pay cash on day of swim.\nSeries swim cap ($5) -select this option if you don’t already have a series swim cap and are a non-member (club members receive one free swim cap). All swimmers must wear correct colour coded series swim cap. Note you only need to purchase one cap which can be used over again for the endurance series swims.\n\nClick here to register online\nNote the registration allows you to select one or more in the Endurance series swims. If you only wish to do one then just tick the box next to the one you wish to register for. However, if you do decide later to do another swim in the series you’ll need to make sure you register again for that swim!\nNote: Nelson Triathlon Club has a NO REFUND policy on club events.\nGiven the nature of the event and the challenges of tide and wave conditions, it is important that all athletes feel comfortable and confident swimming 500m front crawl, whilst making significant forward progress at all times. Adherence to this requirement will be at the sole discretion of the race director.\n
