After a month, the Training team has grown to a core group of a dozen or so, but there’s plenty of room for more.
At last night’s training session, the team raced in a duathlon relay, learned some valuable tips about transition from Pogo Macauley – including how much ground you can lose if you do it badly, then had a cooling dip in the sea to practice dolphin diving, sighting and swimming as fast as they could.
Although the sessions will pause over the school holidays, there’s still time for a couple more sessions before that.
Meet at the Tahunanui playing fields, 5.15pm Mondays – all welcome.
