Against predictions, it was a beautiful day for swimming. Luke Kelly and Pip Dwyer won the long swim, with Daniel Dwyer and Mandy Medcalf-Stephens leading the short swim. 86 swimmers took part.
Because of some navigation confusion, the surf rescue boat sent some swimmers on a shortcut, so results need to be taken with a grain of salt. If you did take the inside channel, rather than to the right of the long stone wall known as the mole, an adjustment has been made to your time. If you didn’t notify the timekeepers of this, your time will be a little fast. Email us at info@nelsontriclub.co.nz if this is the case. Results have been updated for a second time, 5pm Monday.
The featured swimmer is triathlon coach George Hilgeholt, who joined us this summer and is a welcome member of the Nelson triathlon community.
