Membership Registration
Membership for 1 November 2025 – 31 October 2026 is now open. All members — new and returning — must register through our GameDay platform in partnership with Triathlon New Zealand. The process takes about 5 minutes, and you’ll see both Tri NZ and Nelson Tri Club membership options during registration.
If you previously used auto‑renew, please note that GameDay does not support automatic rollover. To keep your membership active, you’ll need to complete the registration form using the link below.

Why Join?
The Nelson Triathlon & Multisport Club promotes enjoyment and achievement in triathlon, duathlon, multisport, and ocean swimming. While entry to our events is open to everyone, becoming a member supports the club, strengthens triathlon in New Zealand, and ensures insurance cover for all our races.
As an affiliated club, membership is routed through Tri NZ. When you sign up, you’ll first choose a Tri NZ membership level:
- TRIBE Membership – Full Tri NZ membership, ideal if you plan to race nationally or internationally. Includes partner offers, news updates, and eligibility for National Championships.
- Social Membership – A lower‑cost option if you’re racing locally or joining our sea swim series.
You’ll then add your Nelson Tri Club membership to complete the process.
Membership Fees (2025–2026)
Adult over 23 Full Membership – $67.60
Membership includes:
- Tri NZ TRIBE Affiliated Club Adult Membership ($46.80)
- Nelson Tri Club Adult Membership ($20.80)
Prices include processing fees.
Junior 16-22 Full Membership – $39.60
Membership includes:
- Tri NZ TRIBE Affiliated Club Junior Membership ($26.00)
- Nelson Tri Club Junior Membership ($13.00)
Prices include processing fees.
Youth U16 Full Membership – $22.88
Membership includes:
- Tri NZ TRIBE Affiliated Club Youth Membership ($15.60)
- Nelson Tri Club Youth Membership ($7.28)
Prices include processing fees.
Social Membership – $41.60
If you only plan to race locally, or if you’re just competing in our sea swim events, you should choose Social Membership.
Membership includes:
- Tri NZ Social Membership ($20.80)*
- Nelson Tri Club Membership ($20.80)
*Does not include TRIBE membership benefits.

Family Membership *(2 Adults and up to 4 children U16)
Membership fee dependent on Tri NZ membership selected.

What is the annual membership period?
The membership period runs from November 1st to October 31st.
Do I need to join Tri NZ?
All club members are required to be members of Tri NZ. There are two options with Tri NZ ‘TRIBE Membership’ full Tri NZ membership or ‘Social Membership’ cheaper and suitable if you’re only racing in Nelson and/or doing the Nelson Sea swim series.
What’s the difference between TRIBE and Social membership?
TRIBE is full Tri NZ membership, ideal if you plan to race nationally or internationally. Social membership is cheaper and suited to local racing or sea swim events.
What does your membership fee contribute to?
Your membership supports the following Tri NZ community programmes: coach development and accreditation, technical official pathways, event sanctioning and endorsement, National Championship event series, and age group World Championship support.
How do I get my discount codes?
All codes and benefit details are emailed to you once your membership is confirmed.
