MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION FOR THE NEW SEASON
All members—new and returning—must register through our current membership platform.
Nelson Triathlon & Multisport Club continues to use the integrated GameDay system in partnership with Triathlon NZ. When you join our club, you’ll also see Tri NZ membership options during registration—no need to sign up separately!
The process takes about 5 minutes and should feel familiar. If you have any questions or need help, just reach out—we’re happy to assist.

The Nelson Triathlon and Multisport Club aims to promote enjoyment and to help you achieve your goals within the related sports of triathlon, duathlon, multisport and open water swimming. Entry to our events is not restricted to club members, however, we encourage you to support the club and the sport of triathlon in New Zealand by becoming members.
We have entered into a relationship with our national body, Triathlon New Zealand. As a club our link with Tri NZ is important to not only to support Triathlon in NZ but also to maintain our insurance for all our races, including the swims.
As an affiliated club, our membership is now routed through Tri NZ membership. When you sign up for membership, you’ll first be asked to choose a level of Tri NZ membership that suits your goals. Triathletes who plan to compete in major events throughout New Zealand should choose full TRIBE Membership Club. When you join TRIBE you get exclusive access to special partner offers regular news updates and the opportunity to compete in international and domestic competitions (National Championships). If you only plan to race locally, or if you’re just competing in our sea swim events, you choose Social Membership. You’ll then be asked to select an additional purchase that allows you to select the Nelson Triathlon Membership.

Adult over 23 Full Membership – $67.60
Membership includes:
- Tri NZ TRIBE Affiliated Club Adult Membership ($46.80)
- Nelson Tri Club Adult Membership ($20.80)
Prices include processing fees.
Junior 16-22 Full Membership – $39.60
Membership includes:
- Tri NZ TRIBE Affiliated Club Junior Membership ($26.00)
- Nelson Tri Club Junior Membership ($13.00)
Prices include processing fees.
Youth U16 Full Membership – $22.88
Membership includes:
- Tri NZ TRIBE Affiliated Club Youth Membership ($15.60)
- Nelson Tri Club Youth Membership ($7.28)
Prices include processing fees.
Social Membership – $41.60
If you only plan to race locally, or if you’re just competing in our sea swim events, you should choose Social Membership.

What is the annual membership period?
The membership period runs from November 1st to October 31st.
Do I need to join Tri NZ?
All club members are required to be members of Tri NZ. There are two options with Tri NZ ‘TRIBE Membership’ full Tri NZ membership or ‘Social Membership’ cheaper and suitable if you’re only racing in Nelson and/or doing the Nelson Sea swim series.
What are the benefits of being a Tri NZ member?
Note that special one-off discounts will also be available throughout the season and will be communicated with you. Specific discount codes will be provided in your membership confirmation email.

What does your membership fee contribute to?
Your membership supports the following Tri NZ community programmes: coach development and accreditation, technical official pathways, event sanctioning and endorsement, National Championship event series, and age group World Championship support.

Nelson Triathlon Club
The Nelson Triathlon and Multisport Club aims to promote enjoyment and to help you achieve your goals within the related sports of triathlon, duathlon, multisport and open water swimming. Entry to our events is not restricted to club members, however as a club member you’ll get a number of great benefits.
All members get a discount off our event fees – this normally works out to around 30%, but sometimes much more! For example, if you’re planning to do our Sea Swim series on Thursday’s then you’ll save a great deal more on your swims than you will pay in membership fees if you join! All members also get access to the following discounts (prices may change over time):
Riverside/Nayland CLM – approx. 25% discounted rates 12 months, 6 months, 3 month and weekly no fixed term memberships. Ask at the counter for the Tri Club ‘Corporate Rates’. Rates in October 2024 were:
- 12 months for $855.50.
- 6 months for $455.70.
- 3 months for $240.
- Weekly no fixed term for $16.50 per week.
Richmond CLM – Ask at the counter for the Tri Club ‘Corporate Rates’. Rates in October 2024 were:
- Full facility access: $13 per week for 6 months, with $49 joining fee.
- Pool only access: $10.50 per week for 12 months, with $49 joining fee.
Real Meals – 15% off during the period of 1st November and Oct 31st 2025. Email us for details on how to redeem this discount.
Orca New Zealand – 15% accessories and the current season’s wetsuits. You will be asked to sign up to their newsletter. Email us for details on how to redeem this discount.
Shoe Clinic – 10% discount plus additional club benefits where you receive a $50 voucher with every $500 spent.
Village Cycles – 10% discount. Applies to parts and accessories. Doesn’t extend to bikes and labour charges through the workshop, but certain bikes may still have a discount so you’re welcome to ask.
