Neoprene lovers of Nelson (and beyond) unite! as our last blast of summer is upon us and we have that one last chance to grab a whole years’ worth of smug bragging rights over our colleagues, work friends, family, and random stranger foolish enough to make eye contact at the supermarket!
This morning’s Ironman Challenge was treated to beautiful conditions. Under a clear blue sky, swimmers set off at 9am with the tide pushing in toward high at 9:27am.
My fellow rubber heads, it is with a heavy heart that I remind you all that there are only two more swims to go before the end of the season.
Thursday delivered one of those classic Nelson evenings — blue skies, warm sunshine and near-perfect sea conditions at 20°C.
Sunday morning couldn’t have delivered better conditions for this traditional point-to-point swim from the Nelson Yacht Club ramp across to Tahunanui Beach.
