Perfect conditions for the final swim of the series, with 50 swimmers taking part in courses of 5km and 2km.
Matt Hansen went out to an early lead in the long race and held it to the end. Blenheim swimmer Jodie Lovell stuck with him at first, but Fraser Hill came through during the race for second, with Jodie next. Jon Linyard, Nick Loveridge and Sophie Pahl were next to finish.
In the 2k swim, Nia Linyard made a clean break, finishing more than a minute ahead of Ben Van Dyke, then Flossie Van Dyke. It was a clear statement of dominance from Flossie, who led her husband-to-be Cam Loveridge by more than three minutes at the finish.
The first non-wetsuit swimmer, Jude Vincent (pictured above), was fifth, ahead of Rob Searle.
