It was a great relief to have a fine night for a swim, after two cancellations. As it was close to low tide, there was no discernible current and it was only slightly choppy. And the sun was shining.
We celebrated with a longer swim of 1650m taking in most of the harbour. Hayden Squance romped home from Connor Eden after Oxford Bayley took a wrong turn. Hamish Neill was close behind in third.
Sam Harman was a clear winner in the women’s section, while Emily Chadderton, Christine Harris and Lucy Barron came in nearly on top of each other.
In the short race over about 500m, Keshia Linyard triumphed by the narrowest of margins over Brianna Mckay. Dylan Bell and Harriet Sladen took third and fourth.
