The longest race of the season brought up the halfway point in the series.
Hayden Squance, Terry Bone, Gus Marfell, Ben Marshall and Hamish Neill stuck fairly close together in a long slog south to the first buoy at just over 500m.
With tide pushing north and wind pushing south, things got rough heading to the dolphin. The leaders spread out although Terry and Gus stayed in contact with each other to the finish.
Lilly Claridge was first in the women’s field, followed by Keshia Linyard, Christina Harris and Nia Linyard.
Neve McKenzie edged out early season leaders Rob Sheridan, Liliana Perrett and Grace Van Orden in the short race.

Here’s the points at the halfway point of the season. Note that the season results are taken from each swimmer’s best 12 results, so positions will change as we go into February.
