Hayden Squance continued to dominate, winning for the third consecutive week, this time by three seconds from Sam McKenzie with Xavier Anderson a further four seconds back. In the women’s field, Caitlin Delany finished four seconds ahead of Talya Harwood, with Bree Anderson in third.
A three-way sprint tipped Zara Aydon out of her normal position at the front of the short race, with Ruby-Lou Stuart finishing first, a second ahead of Kaleb Johnston and Zara a second further back.
Featured swimmer Tom Dunn is one of a select band of swimmers in the 70+ age group. Now 73, Tom was born when World War II was in full swing (in 1943) and is about 10 times as old as our youngest swimmers.

Worth noting that you should be sure that the colour of your cap is the same as that written down by your name at registration and also that the photos we take are an aid to determining your finishing position, so please don’t duck away from the camera.
