Rabbit Island’s Conifer Park was buzzing on Sunday 23rd November as 53 competitors, including teams, lined up for the Tineli Cross Triathlon. Cloudy skies greeted athletes at the start, but the rain held off and blue skies broke through by the finish, making for a great day of racing.
The morning kicked off with a fun kids’ race around the transition area before athletes tackled swim, bike, and run challenges through the scenic forest trails. It was fantastic to see a mix of new faces and returning racers, all bringing energy and determination to the event.
🥇 Top Finishers
- Sprint (Long) Triathlon: Morgan Lumsden took the overall and men’s win in 1:03:06, while Britta Reid claimed the women’s title in 1:08:24.
- Short Course Triathlon: Sam Trass was the fastest male in 34:22, with Keshia Linyard leading the women in 34:22.
- Short Course Duathlon: Ben Pitcaithly topped the men’s field in 38:33, and Araceli Marsh won the women’s race in 43:05.
- Sprint (Long) Duathlon: Felix Laufkotter was the overall male winner in 1:08:24, with Aimee Burnard the fastest female in 1:28:34.
