Triathlon Youth Training
Come join our youth triathlon group at the Saxtons Velodrome! Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or have never even thought about a triathlon, this is the perfect place to give it a go and learn some awesome new skills.
The first 4 weeks are FREE!
- When: Fridays, 4:45 PM – 6:00 PM
- Where: Saxtons Velodrome
- We are starting on the 21st of November with a 4-week trial block and will continue in Term 1. The first 3 weeks will be at the Velodrome, then we will move to Tahunanui Sports Fields!
- Ages: Primarily for 10–15 years old.
- Nine-year-olds are welcome if they are confident swimmers!
- No experience is required! We’re all about having fun and learning the basics of running, biking, and swimming (or just running and biking!).
- Older Youth: Keen to join? Let us know! Based on demand, we’re looking to start a group for older athletes too.
Keep it simple! You’ll need:
- A mountain bike (or any bike you’re comfortable with!)
- Running shoes
- From 12th December – Swimming togs
The swimming portion is not mandatory for our sessions. However, it’s a fantastic, low-pressure way to get your very first open water experiences if you want to!
We focus on teaching you the basic skills for triathlon in a relaxed, encouraging, and most importantly, FUN way!
