If you needed any evidence of the Nelsonian penchant for self-destructive behaviour, you only had to look those intrepid souls who partook in the Thursday Rylock Swim.
Another glorious evening in our little part of paradise with 116 swimmers choosing to give up their precious evening hours to showcase their athletic prowess, and/or secure another week of bragging rights in the workplace.
Opening Splash kicks off the Rylock Endurance Series with 66 swimmers under perfect conditions.

The Blue September Swim kicked off our season with 32 swimmers braving 13°C water at the Nelson Yacht Club. Together we raised around $600 for prostate cancer on a stunning calm day. Congratulations to winner Eddie Swain (6:44.5) and all participants. Click for full results and upcoming events.
Our spring series kicked off on Sunday 7th September with 30 athletes taking part. It was a sunny but windy morning, and competitors gave it their all across triathlon and duathlon events. Congratulations to all our winners, and a big thank you to our volunteers and new series sponsor, Kiwi Multisport.
The Nelson Tri Club season got underway on Sunday 17th August with the first-ever Fulton Hogan Road Bike Duathlon at Rabbit and Rough Islands. In perfect racing conditions, 51 competitors tackled the mix of trail running and smooth road cycling, with strong performances across both the short and long courses.
