The first race of the season, the Kayak HQ Multisport Triathlon Race 1, took place under misty, overcast skies, but fortunately, the rain held off for most of the event. With 51 participants ranging in age of 7 to 70+, the race showcased a great mix of abilities and competitive spirit.

Long Multisport Triathlon:
- Overall Winner: Ethan Helliwell – 1:28:25.5
- 2nd Place: Nathan Fa’avae – 1:29:56.2
- 3rd Place: Sam Millson – 1:30:11.8
- First Female: Grace Werner – 1:37:38.4
Short Multisport Triathlon:
- Overall Winner: Rod Sharp – 1:13:40.0
Long Mountain Bike Duathlon:
- Overall Winner: Eddie Swain – 1:08:45.2
- 2nd Place: Leo O’Donnell – 1:15:37.9
- 3rd Place: Chris Harte – 1:16:37.4

Mark your calendars for Sunday, 1st of September, as we return to Greenslade Park, Rabbit Island, for Race 2 of the Kayak HQ Multisport Triathlon series.
