Rylock swim series, race 17, March 10, 2022

A lovely swim tonight, with a bit of current slowing proceedings over the last 600m from the Richardson St steps back to the yacht club ramp.

Hayden Squance, Terry Bone, Hamish Neill and Sam Harman did their regular routine at the front of the field, with Emily Chadderton finishing eighth overall and Lucy Barron in 12th place taking the second and third women’s positions behind Sam.

Finn Bryant and Corey Tremblay broke the regular female dominance in the short swim, finishing ahead of Keshia Linyard and Keisha Old.

One more week of competition to come, followed by the prizegiving and barbecue on March 24.

The final swim in the Rylock Endurance Series, the 3.8km Ironman Challenge, has been moved from Sunday March 20 to Saturday March 19. This was initially to accommodate the Weetbix Tryathlon. That event has since been cancelled, but the Saturday still stands, with start time at 11.15am to catch the tide.
